The install of the new equipment is going good. The SATA SSD booted up and installed the Asus utilities and drivers basically on its own.

Here's a side shot before the Anime HD's go in during the CLone of  the SATA SSD to the NVMe SSD.

The wiring could be done a bit better, but its cooling correctly.

The next thing personally I would look into is water-cooling and overclocking 😏

How does the stock cooler fare for gaming if you're not planning to OC?

It's not a stock cooler.

For over clocking it is running really well with this cooler and 5.2GHz and is at 126 Degrees F atthis moment.

I'm just testing the overclocking right now.

Yeah, I know. Have the same heat-sink on my current rig (i5 4690) non-overclocked.

But I was wondering, if I were to build a new PC from ground-up with the latest Intel processors, would the stock cooler be enough if you don't plan on OC'ing?

Awesome build regardless. Only missing a GPU but I take it you're not into gaming.

I would get a AMD platform, instead of Intel. Their rendering performance is really good. Also, gaming too.

I'm not into gaming anymore. I do have an old nVidia Video card that was on the previous build.

This computer is basically for encoding, downloading and watching Anime.  Also, there is some projects I have that use this computer.

It is nice to run and the encodes are running fast as well.

Also, I just noticed this morning, that one of the Backplanes power connectors is not connected.  Will get fixed tonight after school.
